Good game(s) everyone

Season 14 is officially over! I can confirm that this will be the final season that Jolt will be running a Quake 3 TDM League too :'(

The season, I would actually say has been great fun. Despite having a large amount of new clans, the interest has been generally high with few drop outs and everyone has been enjoying themselves.

Quake 4 did make a little dent in the league, especially in the ending couple of weeks (mainly div 1 only however), but generally the damage wasn't as big as I had anticipated.

So looking at the final placing's, here are the clans who got 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each div. Going along from div's 1 to 5.

1st's: PoQ, pillZ, tuum, cs(B), KoW
2nd's: AC, Dinhz, Logitech, S9R, HQ
3rd's: eS(A), wCm, TTBS, 3XS, iM

I would like to finally say thank you to all the clans who have taken part in this fantastic league, which has been running for years and years now! I hope you have all enjoyed it as much as I have.
The list of people who have helped Jolt Q3DML over the past few years is far too great, so I'm going to specifically note people like rB'Reaper who created the league along side Doc_Gonzo, ParrotK, Jr404, Bigfoot, Gigabit and Gonkster. All have been huge attributers to the league throughout its existence. There are plenty others, but these people specifically have "gone the extra mile" for Jolt Q3DML.

Hopefully Quake 4 will get a PR or Mod that will make a TDM league more of a possibility. Once its ready, I'll help start a JoltQ4dml, which I hope you all can be a part of!

Finally, there were particular clans who have really pulled their weight this season. I really appreciate all the help, particularly from Jr and Pink this season. Here's the admin scores:

See you around,

Oxi / Mike.

Week 5 report

A pretty good week this week.

The only problems I had this week was a few postponements from div 2 (mainly due to football) and the lack of admin's (still) for 8PM on Tuesdays, and 7PM on Wednesdays (could the 'higher' div clans please help out a bit more...)

The divisions are getting tighter, every division shall be decided in the last couple of weeks, making the next couple of weeks very important for you all!

Quake IV is to be released in the UK and Europe around the 21st of October (just after next week). In light of this, I have decided to move some people's games forward a week (basically, putting some week 7 games to week 6) - so some clans can get some more games out of the way before quake IV is out, this is to help prevent disruption to the league after quake 4 is released. The clans this involves are:
AC vs. PsY, X vs. AP, PsY(B) vs. ttbs and n5p vs. bdi - you all have an extra game this week (check your divisions fixture pages for times, maps etc).
Because of this, I will need extra admin presence for next week please, make sure your clan is on the admin table below!..

Speaking of admin's, Pink has given me logs from the IP lists when other people have done them, and I've updated the admin list with the 'proper' amounts now. You can really tell who are shifting their weight, however - thank you to all the names below (and if your clan isn't on there...why not? e-mail me for details about admining).

Season 14 Week 4 Report

Well this week was a bit of a mixture week.

However, as a general consensus, things are getting better and can only get better (perhaps until q4 comes out eh lol).

Admin interest on Tuesday nights are pretty poor, particularly at 8PM (I can only admin a maximum of 3 on my own...not 5) - so perhaps if some clans could pull their fingers out and start admining please. To join the team, e-mail me if you don't already know the details.

I had to kick clan assboys (go figure), due to defaulting yet again this season in div 5 - all their games have been defaulted.

Bar the odd postponed game, things went pretty smoothly. Loads of great close games.

I can also confirm that there should be gtv for every Division 1 match from now on in the remainder of the league, so come and watch some fine quaking at 9PM uk every Wednesday night at 213.208.119.133:27960.

Speaking of admin interest, there are particular clans who are really pulling out the stops to admin for us, thanks you guys *tear*:

Week 3 Report

This week has had its fair amounts of ups and downs.

First of all, clan wCm(A) has folded, despite pressurising me to put them in Div 1 despite not gaining promotion because "they were so strong & reliable". They have been removed from the fixtures, clanlist, tables - and not replaced. This leaves a healthy 8 clans still in Division 1 however.

PsY(B) have replaced clan erct in division 3, perhaps not the ideal position for PsY(B), but its what was available.

I've had to stop a good number of players from joining lower skilled clans this week. Listen, it is not fair or clever to get high skilled mercs to play in the lower divisions, so don't do it!

We also had a lot of postponed games this week, and a few default wins. This means that there are extra games, so a good admin presence will be useful for next week please.

On we shall go, next week we meet week 4 on the maps Q3DM7 + OSPDM6.

Week 2 Report

Well from one good week, to a complete nightmare.

It seems we've had a huge turn around in how the league went this week compared to last week.

CS have quit in Div 1, who aren't being replaced - so I have simply removed them from the website. Their games haven't been defaulted, they have been removed.
eRct also have quit, who I am hoping to replace, so watch this space.

Otherwise there have been a lot of postponements. Also I could not be here on Tuesday night unfortunately due to an emergency, which wasn't avoidable, so apologies for that.

I hope that next week will be a bit better, with less PP's and such. (Bring back week 1) :(

Attention Div 1 + 2 clans

There have been a couple of changes, due to dOllz in div 1, already quitting the league.

This means, that a new team has been brought in to replace them. However, it isn't as simple as just replacing dollz this time..

Clan ek from div 2 (who haven't played a game yet) are being moved to div 1, to replace dollz. This concerns clan PsY - who were down to play the PP'd game vs dollz - this has been moved to week 5. Also clan rmx who were down to play Dollz this Wednesday - are now going to play ek!

In div 2, the replacement for ek is clan "Dinhz" from poland. This means that the PP'd game ek were down to play vs. eS(B) has been moved to week 3 - plus pillZ, who were down to play ek - are now playing Dinhz (Hope the pings aren't too bad!).

Website is updated with the changes, feel free to look around on the Div 1 and 2 fixtures pages.

HF in week 2.

Season 14 Week One is complete

Well week one of the latest Jolt Q3DML season 14 is officially finished!

Overall the week had been surprisingly easy. And I only have my admin's and you, the clans to thank for that - so good show everybody.
There were a couple of hiccups, but to be honest - compared to most 'week 1's' it's been pretty trouble free. Hopefully those clans in question will build on those mistakes and make sure that there wont be any more for the remainder of the league.

As you may or may not of noticed, a new map has not been included this season. The map that was being made for the league, was coming along quite nicely - but unfortunately could not be finished in time. So we are left with the same maps as last season, but in different rotations. Q3DM7, PRO-Q3DM6, OSPDM5, OSPDM6, Q3DM14TMP, CPM4 and OSPDM15rc3 (click to download).

Also as it was week one, I have been pretty relaxed with the team changing rule. From now on, as you've all had your first week, for team changes you must e-mail me the Sunday before that weeks match if you want that player to be eligible to play for the coming game. Any emails after Sunday, will mean the player in question will have to miss one week - and can play in the following weeks.

So, moving on to next week, we have a few extra games that are to be played (a few of week one's postponed games), so I will need extra admin presence please!

Admin wise, we weren't too bad, but as you can see by the table, we have only a few people willing to contribute, but luckily those people are willing to contribute a lot. It is good manners for each clan to provide an admin, who admin's as much or as little as he or she wants, to which games he or she wants. For details about what an admin does, view this page - and then e-mail me if you would like to help out or give details of a member in your clan and I shall provide you with the admin channel & referee guide.

So, thank you to the following people for making week one as trouble free as possible:

Clan # Clan #
404
4
Blubjuh
3
Shadow
3
Decoyroy
3
Pink
2
Dor

So GG's everyone, I'm already looking forward to next week, hope you are too..

Season 14's nearly ready to go

OK well I've got my draft divisions up on the website, under each divisions 'tables'. So go there to check where you have been placed.

Remember the times for this season are:

Div 1 (10 clans) - Wednesday 21:00
Div 2 ( 8 clans ) - Wednesday 20:00
Div 3 ( 8 clans ) - Tuesday 21:00
Div 4 ( 8 clans ) - Wednesday 19:00
Div 5 ( 8 clans ) - Tuesday 20:00

If there are any clans who feel that they deserve to be higher or lower than where I have placed them. E-mail me and I will try (within reason) to change your division to one where you prefer to be.

Finally, the vote for the league having a new map is over. You have voted 62.7% for having a new map, and 37.3% for not having a new map. There has been a new map made by someone specially for this league. It isn't finished yet, but the admins are testing it on some servers and so on as we speak.

The fixtures will be created on Thursday - but look above for when your first game will be (On the 13th or 14th of September). If you are new to the league and need help, speak to me in #joltq3dml.

Finally, people wishing to become an admin (its very easy) - e-mail me and I will send you the private chan details. For details of what an admin does view this page.

Season 14 Sign ups are open

The time for clans to sign up for season 14 is now.

Will all clans e-mail me regarding their activity for the season, (oxidize@jolt.co.uk) - even if its to say you're not competeing.

Clans from last season will get priority over 'new' clans. The signups will close on the 2nd of September. New clans, visit this page for details of how to sign up (please do so as soon as possible).

The table below is current status from last seasons clans, not the season 14 divisions.

If the clan has a green box behind their name, it means they wish to compete. Yellow = heard from but awaiting answer. Blank = awaiting any response from clan. If a clan says no, they will not be deleted from the table.

I plan to start the new season on the 13th of September. I would of preferred starting on the 6th, but I have an important 'day' that day.

To fit everyone in, Div 1 will have 10 clans - with every other division having 8 clans each. This means, for 2 weeks out of the 7, div 1 clans will be expected to play two clans on the same night. The times will probably be (uk/gmt):

Div 1 (10 clans) - Wednesday 21:00
Div 2 ( 8 clans ) - Wednesday 20:00
Div 3 ( 8 clans ) - Tuesday      21:00
Div 4 ( 8 clans ) - Wednesday 19:00
Div 5 ( 8 clans ) - Tuesday      20:00

A new map might be included. Vote for the outcome of that on the current poll.

If you have any ideas or thoughts about the league, feel free to post in the forum. Let the fun begin.

And the winner is...

The FFA tourney has drawn to a close!

Overall it has been a fantastic night. A great night of enjoyable FFA action, with little whine.

30 minutes before the tourney was due to start, I got a PM from bigfoot asking if I would of wanted to give the top 3 prizes. I of course said "YES!".

The top 3 (look below) will get something along the lines of the prizes here.

I have updated the website, you can see the results from each Stage - who got promoted and who didn't etc. Screenshots are available for each Stage under their name / heading.

Players

I also have created a folder under the Q3DML Downloads area, where you can download the winners POV on the last map. Spectator POV on the last map, and Rage's 20 second quad run on dm6.

GG's to everyone who played. Stay tuned for news on Season 14 of Jolt Q3DML coming in the next few days.

Below is a cool pic of the stats of everyone on the last map:
